One might think that with the boom of iPhone news that has been hitting the Web lately, that we’d be seeing a huge drop in Android interest across the board. Oddly enough, this is not even remotely the case at all. As a matter of fact, there has been a clear demonstrated spike of interest within a small amount of time that has some industry insiders, rather excited!

Business Insider is reporting that within a one month Google Android has seen a 60% leap in activations. That is nothing to sneeze at, especially considering how the iPhone is likely to make a significant come back with the release of the iPhone 4 launch. The big question though, is whether or not Android can hold onto this gain. If it can, this could be a huge boon for Google overall.
