No one out there is debating the value that Android has brought to the mobile industry. Companies that otherwise would have been left to their own efforts for a mobile OS, might have been out of luck against Apple. But is Android, as a product, enough even with these benefits?

The Register posted an article that points out the clear power vacuum that is taking place in the Android realm. Despite all of the gains it has made with mobile providers and users alike, the fact remains that there lacks any real leadership that anyone can honestly look to.
