One might think that with the iPad among other tablets coming to the market, that somehow the Amazon Kindle would become obsolete. Truth is, the Kindle is doing fairly well. Likely because it’s available as software and as a device both.

Amazon explains that the Kindle video and audio options are now available for Kindle users. Assuming it embraces how Kindle already provides access to written content, I see this as being a real boon for Amazon Kindle fans. Where this could fall apart however, is if the Kindle tries too hard to become another tablet computer.
