How long have we been anxiously awaiting the release of Android 3.0, the “Gingerbread” release? Seems like a couple of lifetimes now. Well it took long enough, but we finally have some long-awaited details on what we can expect from this critical gap filling update to the Android mobile OS.

The UnwiredView, managed to turn up new critical details such as a 1280×760 resolution, release date of mid-October, redone UI, plus a lot more. It’s also worth noting that despite all of the improvements, existing UI shells will be able to remain intact.
