Ever since the iPad was first released, I think that people found themselves wondering where this would leave the likes of the Amazon Kindle. Well as expected, it’s further expanded onto new platforms such as Android. But there are other changes happening as well.

Engadget is reporting that the Kindle is going to be seeing a price drop. This means a wifi Kindle will cost you $139 while the 3G model, will be available for $189. The extra $40 makes the Kindle a whole lot more valuable if you are traveling and needing 3G access. In addition to the pricing changes, Amazon is setting up to release a UK version of the Kindle come this August.
