Continued...

It’s not just with personal technology either. The dumbing down of America is spread across all industries. You know we’ve reached the lowest point in consumer stupidity when coffee shops have to put "Warning – Hot Coffee!" on the cup. Seriously, it’s disgusting, and all this because of few brainless, lawsuit happy nuts who have nothing better to do than seek ways to rake millions from corporations who falsely consider their customers as intelligent beings.

Oh, and for those of us who delightfully accept these litigations as a way to keep companies in check and view plaintiffs as saviors, here’s a newsflash for you: these lowlifes (in most cases) are doing nothing but benefiting themselves. I haven’t heard of anyone who won a civil lawsuit against a company and donated all proceeds to charity for humanitarian purposes. There’s absolutely no reason for companies to accept consumer harassment for stupidity.

Although Apple has resolved the iPod volume issue, those of you who complained about it and justified the lawsuit, maybe portable audio players are too advanced a gadget for you. If correlating excessive volume settings to long term hearing loss is a troublesome task, you are better off living in the Stone Age.
