(Review) - When we reviewed Logitech’s MX610 earlier this month, we didn’t encounter many anomalies that would prevent us from recommending the mouse. In fact, the MX610 performed exceptionally well, and hosted new features that aren’t available on any other mouse in the market, clearly making it a latest contender in the laser mice series. However, the MX610 we reviewed was only made for right handed users. We didn’t penalize Logitech for this because Logitech isn’t the only company that limits left handed users. It’s annoying, but unfortunately, not very many companies focus on this minority group.

With that said, Logitech recently released a solution especially for left handed users, a special edition MX610. We’ve had the privilege of using the MX610 left handed edition in our lab, and while performance, features and specifications are exactly the same, the ergonomics have changed to reflect left handed users.

As pointed out, everything else is the same, but as you can see, the e-mail, IM, forward, back, volume and mute buttons have switched directions. Instead of situating them on the left, Logitech has moved them to the right, thereby making it easier for left handed users to use the mouse.
