(First Look) - If there’s any company that can make children-friendly gadgets, it has to be Disney. Disney has undoubtedly built its brand by ensuring friendly programming and products that are unadulterated. Therefore, it wasn’t much of a surprise when Disney announced its Stick Mix series of MP3 players that feature popular Disney characters in a cute exterior – a perfect gift for the budding gadgeteers.

Here’s our initial thoughts on the product: "It’s obvious from the limited functionality and the creative designs that this MP3 player is not intended for serious gadget admirers, but for children, Disney’s Mix Stick is affordable and has just enough power to get them interested in technology and possibly even music. The price without the Jam Stand is affordable, but with the software, it brings up the cost of the unit far beyond its value. Unless you have really young children who are just starting to get interested in TV (Disney channels), this player may still hold some value, but if they are old enough to flip through channels, the $90.00 price tag is far too much, and you will be better off with a "serious" unit from one of the other manufacturers."
