Logitech continues its product line with another cordless optical mouse, but this time it’s the "Mini" edition. Obviously, the mini in this case is meant for notebook users who prefer compact mice while traveling. As majority of you know, the problem with specially designed notebook mice is overall ergonomics and the device’s size. This particular mouse has a battery meter, auto shut off feature, zoom and a tilt wheel with side-to-side scrolling.

Since Logitech promotes the Cordless Mini to be portable, we believe it’ll more than likely have the same problems as many notebook mice in the market. Logitech uses its 2.4GHz wireless technology for connectivity. The company has been promoting this technology for a little while now, and thus far in our testing, we have only seen positive results from it.

The MSRP for the Logitech Cordless Mini Optical Mouse is $29.99.

Initial Thoughts: As mentioned above, the ergonomics will be a drawback in this particular product. The wireless technology is robust and delivers well, and the remaining technologies are more than enough for any notebook user. The price of the unit is quite reasonable, and expectedly, it should drop to an even lower price tag once it enters retail channels. If you want a notebook mouse to play around with, this particular product should be just right, but if you are serious about performance and don’t want to waste time with unnecessary ergonomic hassles, you are better off with a desktop mouse.
