Page 1 of 4 Rio has been a long time player when it comes to MP3 players. Unlike the latecomers, Rio has been in the market since portable audio players first started appearing in the market. All the way from early developments to the current product lineup, the company has delivered everything. Continuing with that stance, Rio has recently introduced its Rio Forge Sport MP3 player that uses flash technology in order to cope with rough movements during an exercise routine. The Rio Forge Sport comes in three different sizes including 128MB, 256MB and 512MB. The overall player appears to be solid and designed for rough use. The front of the player features a vibrant screen with all the information clearly separated and displayed accordingly. The red, vivacious appearance of the player has its standard buttons at the top right corner, which is more or less an ideal location. The headphones jack and the USB connector, however, are integrated towards the outer edge of the product, thereby better embedding them with the rest of the products overall appeal. The Rio Forge Sport offers a Sport Clip Earphones and Sports Case with Armband for hassle-free carrying. Moreover, it supports USB 2.0 for fast transfers, Stopwatch and Lap Timer and FM Radio functionalities. Furthermore, Rio promises an amazing 20-hour battery life with its Rio Music Manager proprietary software to manage music and playlists. The company also gives you the option to upgrade the storage to 1GB with additional memory via the memory slot. The player comes with carrying case with armband, sport clip earphones, one AAA Energizer Alkaline battery, USB 2.0 cable, installation disk, quick start guide, and a warranty card. As stated earlier, the Rio Forge Sport is being sold in three capacities 128MB, 256MB, and 512MB and retails for $129.99 for 128MB, 159.99 for 256MB, and $199.99 for 512MB, respectively. It arrives in three colors Red (128MB), Gray (256MB) and Blue (512MB) depending upon the onboard storage. The Rio Forge Sport is currently available for sale worldwide. |
