Portable DVD players are great consumer electronics devices to have if you’re constantly on the road and would like something to keep you entertained for a little while. Samsung is one of the prominent CE manufacturers in the market with solid products from one product line to another. According to Samsung, you can "now feel free to go anywhere with this portable DVD player. When you carry the Samsung portable DVD Player to places with similar background as in the movie you are watching, you can feel just like one of the movie's heroes."

The DVD-L75 features a 7" TFT LCD screen that’s slim, compact and light for utmost mobility. Samsung has also improved the battery life from four hours initially with the L70 model to 4.2 hours with the L75 variant of the same player. According to Samsung, it has a slim design with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that takes up to 2.5 hours to fully recharge.

In the package, you’ll get a car adapter and two headphones in addition to a picture CD viewer functionality and 3D sound. You’ll also get L/R Stereo Out and Composite Video Out ports as an additional incentive.

Initial Thoughts: Although Samsung doesn’t discuss a lot of technical details with the player’s preliminary specifications, the screen size appears to be well enough for any mobile movie watcher. The color scheme of the product is, as always, appealing. To further sweeten the deal, Samsung includes a remote control to wholly give you control of the L75. Plus, with a total weight of 1.3lbs, you’ll hardly feel the weight of the device – portability at its best. The controls all appear to be situated right along the side of the product, thereby enhancing the overall presentation of the L75. At a low price of $216.00, Samsung does appear to have a solid offering, at least theoretically.
