Logitech VX Nano Laser

(First Look) - In addition to the recent launch of its MX Air Cordless Air mouse, Logitech has also revealed a brand new mobile mouse, the Logitech VX Nano Laser. As the name suggests, it's based on the increasingly popular laser engine for better performance and precision. But perhaps the most important aspect to note with the VX Nano is its crazily small USB connector and a sleek new slim design.

Logitech MX Air Cordless Air Mouse

Logitech's VX Nano is one attractive looking device with glossy edges, a black exterior and a slim design to make storing it easier. In addition, the device sports 5x programmable buttons at the top with Logitech's bundled application, which is common with nearly all Logitech mice. The VX Nano also has the world's smallest USB connector. While normally it wouldn't be something to get overly excited about, the idea is that once you insert the USB connector into your notebook, you won't have to remove it before storing away the notebook in its carrying case. As many of you, due to large USB connectors, you are required to remove them before putting away your notebook. Not anymore, though. Although we understand Logitech's excitement, what they forget is that many notebook computers, especially with ultra portable models, have very few USB ports; therefore, whether you want to or not, you will have to takeout the connector to share the port with additional peripherals. It's a workable solution nonetheless.

Other than the interesting looking design, it's your average (as average as mice get) mouse with 2.4GHz wireless connectivity, an on/off switch to preserve battery life (rated for 6 hours) and an updated engine for better precision. For the price of $69.99, it's a little steep, but except the price to drop soon. Also, check back for our full review on the Logitech VX Nano Laser mouse in the near future.
