After ATI launched another product family without availability, the hardware community was left in a confused state (and anger). The independent hardware publications were also angry at ATI for promising delivery on the launch day, though the product never made it to the market. The chipmaker tried to calm down the industry with another promise of rapid delivery, and this time, it came through.

Newegg.com, possibly the world’s largest online vendor for computer components, announced availability of ATI’s X1000 family of graphics cards. Even though the products are starting to show up, the community still wonders if this is ATI’s idea of clearing its name in the industry. It makes sense for ATI to deliver its products to Newegg.com, however, majority of online vendors have not received their stock. This, according to messages on hardware publications, could suggest that ATI may not have as many products for sale as it promises, but it tried to cover up its mistakes by sending a limited number of products to Newegg.com.
