Microsoft Corp., world’s largest software maker, has introduced a new Windows Server system promotion program that is designed to help mid-sized businesses position and maintain more secure and well managed infrastructures. According to Microsoft, mid-sized businesses are considered companies with anywhere from 25 to 500 personal computers in operation.

Microsoft’s key goal behind the offering is to offer an affordable package to mid-sized companies with a more secure and organized group of software that would work coherently well with one another while reducing costs, complexity and improving security at the same time.

The package will consist of Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition, Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Standard Edition and Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2005 Workgroup Edition. Moreover, Microsoft will also include 50 new combinations of promotional client access licenses (CALs) for Windows Server 2003 and Exchange Server 2003 to further reduce the costs.

Microsoft is expected to avail the package starting August 2005.
