Microsoft Corp. today announced its plans to launch 18 game titles with Xbox 360, its next generation gaming console, which is expected to debut next week in North America. Select gaming titles, such as "Kameo: Elements of Power" and "Project Gotham Racing 3" will sell for $50.00, a standard price point for majority of the newly released titles. In addition to 18 titles, the company is also launching Xbox 360 with 13 accessories, a wireless controller and a 20GB hard disk drive for the standard version of the Xbox 360. The wireless controller and a bigger hard drive will be made available with the enhanced version of the company’s next generation gaming console. The scaled back version will retail for $300 while the enhanced version is expected to cost $400. Moreover, the company recently made an announcement to support 200 additional titles that are part of Xbox 360’s backwards compatibility setup. These titles include the "Halo" franchise from Microsoft itself as well as a host of other titles. Microsoft hopes to retail as many as three million units of the Xbox 360 within 90 days of its Nov. 22 launch in North America. After the North American launch, Xbox 360 will debut in Europe on Dec. 2 and Japan on Dec. 10.
