(News Report) - Sony Electronics, Inc. has introduced a new PC to its arsenal of desktop systems, VAIO RC Digital Studio Desktop. Sony’s latest edition is designed and rated for "premier performance" with an abundance of professional multimedia tools and an overall cutting edge design. The VAIO RC Digital Studio Desktop is an all rounder PC, according to Sony, that’s equipped to handle everything, including some of the most power intensive tasks such as audio/video editing and gaming. In regards to technical specifications, the Sony VAIO RC Digital Studio Desktop (VGC-RC110G) features an Intel Pentium D 830 dual-core microprocessor operating at 3GHz with 2MB of L2 cache, 1GB of PC-4200 (533MHz) DDR2 memory, ATI X300 PCIe graphics card, integrated audio with Sony Sound Reality – Audio Enhancer, a 7200RPM 250GB two drive RAID setup, a dual-layer drive, Giga Pocket MPEG2 Realtime Encoder with TV tuner capability, an Ethernet card, a modem and a host of expansion slots, port connectors, and expansion bays. The desktop system even allows you to expand your storage to 2TB by adding additional drives either independently or in a RAID setup. Sony will also retail a camcorder with the PC should you want to invest in an all Sony package. Regardless the additional accessory, the PC is equipped with advanced audio/video editing software, plus more. Perhaps the most interesting aspect of Sony’s newly announced PC is its chassis with a liquid-cooling and advanced noise reduction system to better dissipate heat and dampen excessive noise levels. The Sony VAIO RC Digital Studio Desktop is currently available for sale and costs $1299.99.
