In addition to introducing several new hard drives to the market, Seagate said it’s also bringing a 160GB notebook hard disk drive that uses perpendicular technology. Perpendicular technology will essentially allow drives to place data on the edge of the drive.

Seagate said its 2.5" notebook hard drive will debut sometime later this year. The drive, Momentus 5400.3, will be the largest notebook drive in capacity and the first drive to utilize perpendicular technology.

In addition to the notebook hard drive, Seagate also launched a 2.5" drive for DVRs and game consoles and a 8GB drive for portable media players.
