As Apple iPod gets more popular and it being the 50 percent market share holder of the portable audio players, it makes sense for companies to produce products for the iPod. Of course the choice of products is fairly limited as iPod comes in a very narrow market segment, however, that hasn't stopped numerous companies from producing different accessories for Apple's portable music wonder. Altec Lansing recently entered the market with few products that are solely designed for the iPod.

Since they are designed just for the iPod, it is obvious that they will have the matching color-scheme to match the delicate appeal of the product. We will take a look at Altec Lansing's newly released pair of headphones for the iPod and the iPod Mini - the YO302WHT headphones. You will notice throughout the review that these headphones are very delicate, but there are some unique things that Altec Lansing has done to impress the end-consumers. Let's get started...

Step towards innovation:

Yet again, there are no accessories included with the headphones except for a carry case. It is unnecessary for Altec Lansing to include a user's manual when it isn't useful. What really impressed us when we first saw the YO302WHT pair of headphones was its stylish carry case. The case comfortably houses the headphones and protects them from getting damaged. We applaud Altec Lansing for including the case as it is rather easy to damage these headphones with its delicate and three joint design. The case splits open into two halves (it does not get seperated into two pieces) and exposes the headphones. Also notice that Altec Lansing has designed the case in such a way that it is now easier to manage the long wire. The wire can be rolled around the outside edge of the case to prevent it from getting tangled. We must admit that Altec Lansing has done an excellent job with the case.
