Product Analysis:

If there’s one thing that will initially draw you towards these headphones, it has to be their attractive design. The headphones are made of cherry wood with a well polished exterior. As you will notice, Audio-Technica’s ATH-EW9 isn’t your average sized pair of headphones either. Not only has the company added a special touch with cherry wood covering, but the remainder of the layout is also notable. Unlike over-the-head headphones, the EW9 use a clip-on design with soft rubber support loops and large ear hangers. The benefit of having such a layout is stress reduction around your ears. One of the key issues with headphones and earphones is that they tend to stress your ears after a while of use. Thankfully, with a clip-on design, you will be able to listen to your favorite music for much longer.

While we do like the clip-on design, getting it used to will take some time to perfectly tweak the headphones. However, within a few times, you should be able to position them to your liking. Needless to say, with a small and compact layout, the EW9 are lightweight. With that said, these headphones are too delicate for rough use. You can’t throw them in a handbag or wherever and expect them to survive. With enough pressure, you may end up bending the hangers permanently or break them altogether. To make carrying easier, however, the company has included a protective carrying pouch.
