Opus Technologies recently made a move to the North Amercian market, mainly the United States with their new line of desktop cases and cooling products. The Taiwan-based manufacturer has been successful in the Asian and European markets, but in order to be successful here, Opus Technologies will have to go above and beyond a lot of strong competition. We recently analyzed the company's MT-200 standard ATX case, which left us with a good feeling about Opus Technologies' workmanship and the top quality products we can expect from them in the near future. To continue our expedition with Opus Technologies' products, desktop cases to be specific, we will be taking a look at TT-501 Titanium Tiny case today. "Tiny" is the key word in the TT-501 case. This particular case supports a Micro ATX motherboard and comes with a 300W power supply. With Titanium as the main building structure, the MT-501 also has a glossy finishing. Opus Technologies is retailing the kit as somewhat of a packaged product with accessories such the power supply unit and the power cord. Other accompaniments include - feet stand-offs, users's manual, rubberized centers, and essential screws. The user's manual details important facts about the TT-501 enclosure. The guide, like others, is fairly straight-forward and simple to follow. Even with Micro ATX enclosures, we have noticed that the manufacturer has always integrated some sort of "feet" to keep the case from touching the bottom. The TT-501 is different in that sense, Opus Technologies has a deviating way to attach the case feet. The user will fit the plastic stand-offs to the bottom of the case. This way the TT-501 will be at a much higher level than a normal case. The rubber jumpers will then be placed underneath the plastic stand-offs to prevent the surfaces from getting scratched. After the installation, the case looks much different than other Micro ATX enclosures in the market. UPDATE 07-06-04: It has been brought to our knowledge that TT-501 enclosure actually uses Steel instead of Titanium as its structure material. Titanium is only for the high-quality finishing.
