Evercool ECS - Extended Cooling System

Many enthusiasts know how important it is to keep their systems cool. We have reviewed many heatsinks, fans and have always discussed temperatures, heat issues, airflow and other things that will aid in keeping a system cool. Have you ever wondered what happens to heat when the computer is shut down? Is it still there? Actually, it slowly dissipates and eventually your system returns back to its cool and idle system temperatures. Evercool didn’t think that heat was dissipating fast enough so they found a solution to fix that.

Evercool introduced ECS – Extended Cooling System. The idea behind ECS is to let your case fans and CPU fan run for ten minutes after you shut down your computer. This will aid in faster cooling hence, increasing the life span of your components. Let’s take a look at ECS and see if it’s worthwhile to purchase.

There was one extended power cable and four three-pin fan cables included with the ECS. The power cable will eventually get connected to the main power cable coming out of the PSU and then to the motherboard. It will act as the main power source for the ECS. The three-pin cables were included in the package for case fans and the heatsink fan.
