SLK-948U

Cooling is one of the major concerns for an enthusiast. We like to overclock our processors to ultimate speeds but for those of us who can't afford water-cooling kits, it's hard to reach the unbelievable speeds. For affordable thermal solutions, we turn to air-based heatsinks. We want something that works just as well as some of the affordable water-cooling kit.

We have been following Thermalright and their heatsinks for a while now. Thermalright recently released a new heatsink: SLK-948U. This heatsink continues the same design and architecture that we have seen on other coolers from Thermalright. Many heatsinks that we have tested from Thermalright have been great. They performed extremely well and our affordable so the designing and the architecture of the heatsink seemed to have worked out for Thermalright. The SLK-948U is designed for AMD Athlon64, Athlon64 FX, and the Intel Pentium 4 processors. How well does this heatsink perform? Read on and find out…
