Page 2 of 4 Specifications: Extreme Spirit:
Usually we include the fan switches and controllers with our accessories coverage but this time we had to give this fan switch it’s very own section. The fan switch that came with the Extreme Spirit was gorgeous. We haven’t seen anything like this switch before. Thermaltake’s logo took the left side of the switch while Thermaltake’s web address consumed the right side. This fan switch can be operated at three speeds: low, medium, and high. All the circuitry of the switch was contained in a plastic containment. This has to be the best fan switch from Thermaltake but we would have preferred a dial rather than switches.
The Extreme Spirit came in two halves. The top half was the fan and second half was the heatsink itself. The design of the fan is very similar to CoolerMaster’s latest line of ‘Jet’ heatsinks. You can browse through our ‘Jet’ heatsink reviews from CoolerMaster and notice the similarities yourself. The fan is a 40 mm blower fan with rated voltage at 12V. The fan claims to circulate as much as 3.53 CFM with ~5000 RPM as it’s lowest operating speeds and ~9000 RPM as it’s highest speeds. The life span of the blower fan is 30,000 hours and it has sleeve bearings for reliability. |
