 LG Muziq
(First Look) - LG has been on fire lately with a number of successes in partnership with Verizon Wireless. However, LG and Sprint's relations haven't been too fruitful after the Fusion release, and they desperately need a phone that can make a mark for them in the market. Thankfully, LG's Muziq appears to be a promising device that will do the trick, hopefully. The sexy phone is a combination of glossy black exterior and a gorgeous external display that sports 262k colors and 128x160 resolution. Thankfully, LG was kind enough to go with the flow, if not stay ahead of it, and deliver an exciting looking and a relatively hip phone for the otherwise dull Sprint product line. Just like a number of other music phones, the LG Muziq is also a music player that supports all popular music formats (MP3 and AAC) with promising controls. Of course, the volume buttons are integrated on the right edge of the phone, while a 1.3-megapixel is situated at the top, just above the external display. There's something about the all black look with red music controls, and vibrant animation that's so fun to work with. Whatever action's taking place, it's all on the outside. Once you flip open the phone, it looks just like another flip phone, albeit with a bright internal display with 176x220 resolution and 262k colors. LG enV (VX9900) Phone Review In addition to a sexy looking phone, you'll get access to touchscreen controls, Bluetooth wireless capability, built-in FM transmitter, expandable microSD storage and a whole slew of options. Just to expand on the 1.3-megapixel camera, for instance, it can take photos as well as record video. With still resolution as high as 1,280x960 and video resolution peaking at 144x176, the LG Muziq could become a portable camera for those once in a lifetime Kodak moments. Of course, your standard calendar, alarm clock, image viewing, voice recording, alarm and basic e-mail functions are all available to work with. All in all, the LG Muziq is a promising device that can add a much needed flavor to Sprint's product line. Assuming it's priced reasonably, Spring could end up winning over a few consumers who must have a multimedia oriented phone. Look for our full review of the LG Muziq later this week.
