Specifications:

Toshiba’s F20 is big, but not without reason. It packs an Intel Pentium M 750 (1.86GHz, 533MHz system bus, 2MB L2 Cache) microprocessor, 512MB RAM, 80GB HDD, multi-format dual layer DVD writer and a NVIDIA GeForce Go6600 graphics card with 128MB of dedicated video RAM.

It also packs in a pair of superb (for a notebook) Harmon Kardon speakers and a 450nit, 15.4-inch widescreen. The screen is perhaps the most awesome feature of the notebook. It’s easily one of the best we have ever seen. See it from any angle and it’s breathtakingly beautiful and unmatchable. The notebook also comes with a built-in TV tuner card, so you can plug in your cable wire and watch your favorite programs on its gorgeously clear screen.

Exterior:

Sadly, despite its weight, the notebook doesn’t feel as solidly built as, say, a Lenovo ThinkPad, but if you don’t move it much and use it for its desired purpose (as a desktop replacement) it’ll do its job rather well.

Our edition was a nice mixture of white, off-white and black which makes it look professional as well as maintenance free at the same time. Unlike the shiny black exterior of the G20, this model is not a fingerprint magnet and you won’t spend hours wiping smudges away.

The touchpad is pretty amazing and very responsive. Very rarely will you have to move your hand across its entire length or breadth to reach a particular place on the screen. The calibration is well versed.

Despite this notebook being fully loaded, Toshiba has done a spectacular job of ensuring an adequate location (front and side) for almost all ports and buttons, in return making them convenient for you to access them.
