Page 2 of 4 LCD Panel: Exterior Getting the LCD out of the box is going to be quite a task. It’s definitely heavy, but that’s a good thing, since it ensures a firm grip to the surface. It looks very sleek, "flauntable" and will most definitely make you go wow. The black finish enhances the effect no end and causes the screen to seamlessly merge with its outlines. The screen is surrounded by four built-in speakers that are integrated in four corners. Apart from the remote, which is fully functional and lets you control everything, the onscreen controls are quite extensive as well. The base of the screen incorporates a volume control dial, a menu button to tweak the various display and sound settings, a mute button and four audio presets for Jazz, Natural, Classic and Rock. The LCD also houses several USB ports allowing you to connect various devices with it using the USB cable provided. The cable acts as an uplink to activate the ports. Flip it over and the back panel is a mass of ports. From HD to Component and S-Video, it has them all. It even has the usual VGA port that you can connect to your PC. To top it all, the monitor comes with a built-in TV tuner capability. In simple words, Philips has a 19" LCD TV disguised as a mere monitor. |
