Page 1 of 9 Even though XFX is a relatively new contender in the market, the company has managed to produce competitive products since its entrance. Thus far in our series of 6600GT reviews, we have been impressed with the NVIDIA GPU and what it has to offer. Though the performance results are clear, it’s exciting to see what each manufacturer has packed in to sweeten the deal, or vice versa. Interestingly enough, XFX offers six variants of its 6600GT graphics adapters, which, needless to say, adds confusion from the buyer’s perspective. Three out of the six deviations are AGP while the remaining three are PCIe. Then we have the cards with either 128MB or 256MB of onboard memory and finally, XFX has an Extreme version as well with overclocked core and memory speeds. Undoubtedly, XFX is competing on all fronts with a total of six cards in its arsenal. Today we have the XFX 6600GT with 128MB of onboard memory at stock speeds. The standard specifications include 128-bit memory interface, DDR3 memory type, 500MHz/500MHz operating speeds, dual DVI ports and its HDTV ready. Furthermore, it’s packed with three full version games, which is almost surprising to encounter these days. Despite everything XFX has included in the retail box, should this be the midrange card of your choice? Read on and find out… For all your graphics cards buying needs, check out Newegg.com
