Ever since NVIDIA introduced its SLI to the market, everyone immediately thought about ATI and the company’s possible reply to its rival’s Scalable Link Interface technology. Soon after NVIDIA’s launch, speculations flooded numerous publications, which stated that ATI was also working on its version of "SLI" or Multi-VPU technology. It was only a matter of time before ATI came out with their version of "SLI", and it looks like the right time is here. According to a source close to the GPU maker, ATI should launch its own Multi-VPU technology in four weeks, which is usually when Computex takes place in Taipei, Taiwan. Computex is one of the world’s largest hardware tradeshows, and this is where majority of the hardware companies prefer to introduce their products to the world, therefore, it’s not a surprise to consider this information a real possibility. Yesterday, we also reported that both ATI and NVIDIA will unveil their next generation of GPUs at Computex as well. Needless to say, the beginning of June will be an exciting time for the hardware community.
