With its "Extreme" line of motherboards, innovative technologies and the company’s recent presentation on "New ECS", it’s clear that ECS doesn’t want to be the same company it once was. Since the launch of its Extreme motherboards, ECS has pretty much changed its portfolio from becoming an OEM to a "full-fledged" motherboard company aiming enthusiast level boards at the respected user base.

In a recent conversation with an ECS insider, the source revealed that ECS is doing quite well with its Extreme motherboard sales. Unfortunately, sales figures were not disclosed due to obvious reasons, but the company has plans to ultimately be the tier-one motherboard maker similar to DFI, Gigabyte and Asus among others. How far away is ECS from accomplishing that goal is currently unknown, but we are waiting on an answer for further clarification on ECS’ market position at the moment.

In a recent Editor’s Day presentation, ECS outlined a few of its technologies and the company’s future as the "New ECS". ECS has also been working on a new graphics technology, so keep checking back as we’ll have more information on that soon.
