Early last week, we published two insider reports that hinted OCZ’s progress and plans in the cooling market. To recap, our reports suggested that OCZ is working on heatsinks for enthusiasts at affordable price points, and OCZ may even enter the water-cooling scene should it deem necessary to serve the enthusiast community.

Read the Insider Reports in Question:
1.
OCZ Ready to Splash with Enthusiasts Heatsinks
2. OCZ May Ready Water-Cooling Solutions

After a recent conversation with a representative, it’s clear that OCZ is indeed working on a cooling solution for enthusiasts, but interestingly, the representative discredited both of our reports. Due to non-disclosure agreement (NDA), the delegate could not reveal specific details, but promised to divulge information as soon as possible.

Considering that OCZ is devoted to the enthusiast community, our initial reports did hold certain validity at the time. Regardless, cooling manufacturers such as Thermaltake, Thermalright and Cooler Master should be relieved after reading this information. Corsair must also feel light-hearted, but OCZ definitely has something in the works. We will continue to update OCZ’s cooling plans, as they become available.
