HD DVD, Blu-Ray Media On Display at Verbatim Booth - CES 2007

(Special Report) - Media companies, such as Verbatim and RiDATA, said they don’t expect the prices for Blu-Ray and HD DVD discs to fall substantially this year. The prices are ultimately based on the basic supply/demand fundamentals. And according to disc makers, the demand won’t be high enough to supply volumes of high-end media, and thus we should see little to no deflation in price points. However, things look slightly positive as media prices are expected to fall decently in 2008 and beyond, of course.
