HP LightScribe-Enabled DVD Writers

(Special Report) - HP showcased its LightScribe-enabled DVD writers at CES 2007 earlier this month. The idea behind LightScribe technology is to print and personalize your DVD media. Once you have burned the necessary content onto the disc, you can flip it over, pick an image and press the button to initialize the process. The discs looked quite impressive, but the only question is - how many of us would actually take advantage of this feature? I can understand the idea to personalize you media. After all, it beats writing on the disc any day, but a lot of us don’t store data on DVD discs like we did a few years ago. It’s tedious at best. But hey, if you want something fun to play with, maybe this could be it. LightScribe DVD will cost you about $.50, which is fairly moderate.
