(Special Report) - We know desktop and mobile (read: portable) printers are in high demand lately. A lot of amateur photographers are looking to print high quality photographs when they are at home or in the office, but also when they are mobile; hence, the demand. Interestingly enough, the demand for industrial printers has gone up substantially as well. According to HP, this really boils down to two scenarios. Either we are seeing a rise in professional photographers or amateur photographers who are interested in printing poster-sized images of their work.

Because of the apparently sudden incline, HP said it’s going to allocate additional resources to developing its industrial line of printers. The company declined to comment on anything new it’s planning to add to its industrial line, but printing quality and durability are definitely on the top.
