LAN party is a sport for hybrid game fans, computer
fans, and party fans. LAN party is when these hybrid fans get together
to have fun by playing video games on their computers and eating
like pigs. That might be the reason why women don’t like to
enter in a room where there is a LAN party happening. But who needs
women when we have games, food and our sweeeet rigs. If all of the
above sounds like fun to you and you would like to host LAN parties
for your friends and family then read this full article because
we’ll be guiding you on every step of the way so that your
party can rock the house or wherever you host it.
What is a LAN Party? LAN party is where close family and friends
meet in one place, play video games and have fun. It is kind of
like a family reunion but with video games, computers, and friends.
In LAN party, the host must provide players with basic things and
prepare well for their arrival. Like mentioned above, all the people
meet together in one place and have a great time. It is a great
way to get away from all the daily tension that one might have.
Although, it is fun but when the party is over, you beg for help.
Now after thinking long and hard you have decided that you want
to host a LAN party. First of all you have to make sure how many
people are you planning to invite. This is not a hard part since
many of us will only invite people who know us and are really close
to us. After you have decided how many people you want in your party
then it is time to make sure that your party is successful.
{Before The Party} Make sure you
have a computer, which you can choose as a dedicated server for
your games. Make sure you that your connection if working and plan
everything before the party. Test out your connection. Just be sure
from every side. Try to jot down any notes that you have which can
help you plan better. Before you host your party make sure you setup
tables and chairs. Put food and beverages in one easy to access
space.
{Space} You definitely need to some
space where you can hook up computers and players. If you are a
teenager, make sure you ask your parents beforehand since you don’t
want to have any last minute panics and space issues. Plan ahead.
Ask yourself these questions: “How much space do I need?”
“How many people I am inviting?” “Where am I going
host my party?” “Will noise be an issue?” “Is
the place where I am hosting my party big enough for people to easily
breathe in or are they going to get squashed together?” Let’s
answer few of the above questions, shall we. You must know before
planning for space, how many people you are inviting. Once you know
that for sure then it is time for you to decide where I am going
to host my LAN. If you are only inviting couple of your friends
then your bedroom might be an ideal place since it is comfortable
but are your parents going to get mad because of the sound levels.
If you are hosting a bigger LAN party then you have to decide if
my bedroom is big enough to hold 15 or more people or I am going
to have to move into my garage. Usually people prefer garages so
if someone spills a drink or something it will be easy to clean.
Make sure wherever you are holding your LAN party that people have
enough room to breathe and move around. People tend to get a little
cranky if they are squashed together with everyone else.
