Well, that was quick. Great job to Creative for reacting so quickly to competitive threats (SanDisk and Apple 8GB versions) and releasing an 8GB version of the Zen V Plus for its own product line.

We posted an entry last week that suggested Creative’s strategy of releasing a competitive player soon (read: during the holiday season for the shopping rush), and we must say, it feels great to see a company respond so quickly.

The 8GB version of the Zen V Plus will be available in Singapore first for $270 and later ship to other countries.

You can expect to purchase the Zen V Plus 8GB in Singapore starting October.

Availability and pricing for other countries is currently not available.
