Alienware, in a completely surprising move, has revealed the Area-51 Superman Limited Edition notebook that’s packed with a number of updated technologies.

The limited edition notebook has Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, Intel Core Duo microprocessor (up to 2.16GHz with 2MB cache and 667MHz system bus), ATI Mobility Radeon X1800 256MB with AVIVO technology, 512MB-2GB DDR2 667MHz memory, Dual SATA hard disks in RAID 0 configuration, single optical drive with DVDR/W support, DVI, S-Video, 1394 (FireWire), USB 2.0, Intel High-Definition 7.1 Channel Out, Integrated Gigabit Ethernet support and a 4-in-1 memory card reader.

The Superman Limited Edition is only available in 350 quantities and from Alienware’s site; it looks like 325 have already been sold. The notebooks are custom customizable in terms of components and are available until supply lasts.
