I'm sure it's making huge waves all over the tech world: Windows Vista, successor to XP, is being delayed…again.

If this is news, then you must not have been paying attention since 2002 or so. The delay won't affect enterprise customers, but for the home user, it will result in additional wait time, at least until Q1 2007 - a full two months later than the previous date given by Microsoft. According to Microsoft, the delay is due to security enhancements on Vista. While it’s pleasant to see Microsoft pay attention to security, the wait is simply getting ridiculous.

The delay is no surprise to me, as I've always said that Vista won’t come out until Q2 2007. Microsoft is almost there, so it would be interesting to see whether or not I was right.
