PQI has released a new flash drive that’s going to make life easy for a lot of people. You know the age old problem with flash drives and their caps. Sooner or later, a lot of us have a tendency to lose them considering their small size. Well, thanks to PQI, that won’t happen anymore.

The PQI Cool Drive U350 drive has a retractable design, similar to a pen, which will finally protect the USB head without losing the cover. By pressing on the side of the drive, you can remove the drive from the system and retract the head in one motion. It doesn’t get any better than that, and I can only hope other manufactures soon adopt a similar design.

The drive also comes with USB Notebook Professional Security application and personal management software, both of which are commodities these days.

There’s no official word on availability or pricing, but there’s nothing that screams proof-of-concept about this drive.
