| Samsung SPH-M250, TV Phone for Sprint - Monday, 05 June 2006 |

The FCC has approved Samsung’s SPH-M250 cell phone designed to work with Sprint’s video service. After investigation by Phone Scoop, the newly approved phone appears to be a close match to B250, another Samsung phone that was released in Korea. The SPH-M250 has a clamshell design and is designed for viewing videos with a rotatable display. It’s interesting to see cell phones evolve from mere communication devices to pure entertainment powerhouses. Back when cell phones first appeared, they were mobile units that could make calls. Now they are entertainment units that can play videos, music and take pictures with the ability to make calls simultaneously. There’s no word on availability or pricing at this moment. {moscomment} |
