Sony Ericsson has teamed up with Fossil to release a Bluetooth watch that acts as a watch, a phone, a music player and much more. So far so good, right? As is the case with a lot of tech watches, the MBW-100 is as bulky as any other tech watch in the market. That automatically means that you better have a decent wrist to make it look remotely good on you. Despite its digital capabilities, the hands are analog with a 96x16 OLED and a one-line display. The Bluetooth connectivity on the device is fairly nice as well. From the PCMag.com review: “Once it's paired, when you get phone calls, the watch vibrates gently and caller ID information (number and, if the caller is in your phone book, name) pops up on the display. If you don't want to take the call, you can mute your phone's ringer or send a busy signal by pressing the watch's top button. When you get an SMS, the watch vibrates and a little envelope pops up on the screen, but no sender information.” The MBW-100 is available immediately for $199 for an entry-level model and $399 for the standard version. Needless to say, this watch isn’t cheap and certainly isn’t the most exuberant out of the bunch. {moscomment} |
