Somebody needs to slap Sony right about now. The marketing geniuses at Sony Australia seem to think it’s a bright idea to copy Apple’s “Get a Mac” campaign ads – down to the core – and attempt a re-branding campaign. Are they out of their minds? I mean, I’m speechless. Talk about blatant lack of creativity and copying.

The new branding initiative has Sony Australia promote “non-PC PCs” in the form of VAIO. What the heck does that even mean? For Apple, a non-PC is a Mac; you know, the computer that actually has a different OS environment and whatnot. But what does Sony have to offer? Absolutely nothing! Zip! Nada! Zero! Sometimes, I tell you, the tech industry never ceases to amaze me with its stupidity.
