LG UP3Flat Shuffle Killer -
Wednesday, 20 December 2006

I’m speechless. Usually, I’m quick to blast off iPod gimmicks, but honestly, I don’t know whether I should like or dislike the UP3Flat. Really, it looks better than the Shuffle, some might argue. But on the other hand, couldn’t LG have been just a tad bit unique and maybe added a display to separate from the millions of Apple copycats? Anyways, it packs 2GB of storage, supports OGG, MP3 and WMA audio formats, has a UV coated luxury finish, a three-color LED light, and retractable USB connectivity. There’s no word on pricing or availability. {moscomment}

This is strangely cool, I suppose. The purpose of the e-mail clock is to supposedly prevent compulsive e-mail checkers by ticking off the kilobytes of messages as they enter your inbox. Although cool, I don’t see the point behind it. Wouldn’t it be just better if you could either put away your e-mail device altogether, disconnect your Internet or don’t launch your e-mail client at startup? These methods seem to work for me… sometimes. Read - Subscribe to CoolTechZone.com's Techblog RSS Feed

Falcon has been working hard to release a new Intel Core 2 Duo notebook that’s bound to blow you away. Needless to say, Falcon’s paintjob is just amazing. There are no words to describe the amount of work they put into painting a single computer. It’s an art in itself. The notebook is packed with Intel Core 2 Duo microprocessor, a 17-inch antiglare display with 1680x1050 maximum resolution, an NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 256MB graphics adapter, a built-in TV tuner card and a whole slew of features. Moreover, this is one of those less weight desktop replacement-type notebooks that weigh only 7.5lbs. It’s available immediately. Read - Subscribe to CoolTechZone.com's Techblog RSS Feed

Nintendo is being a sneaky little company these days. A Toys ‘R Us manager leaked the information that Nintendo is planning to relaunch the Wii gaming console in Spring 2007 in a variety of new colors and for $200. Now that’s a bonus! Oh, and for Sony and Microsoft, I hope they have a nice surprise for us as well. Then again, who am I kidding? Microsoft may already be losing money on Xbox 360, so it’s probably wrong to think that they would do a price cut (they will eventually, of course), and Sony, being the ignorant company that it is, will ignore the basic concept of customer understanding and go about its ways. Regardless, good luck to Nintendo! {moscomment}

 LG is back with another seemingly Chocolate series phone, but this time it’s uniquely different. The LG KE860 is 100 percent touchscreen, and quite ugly at that. I mean, really, just take a quick look at it. After LG, Nokia, Samsung and others have contributed to trashing our minds with complex UIs, millions of features, shortcuts and whatnot, who in their right mind would go for simplicity? See, this is what you get for overcomplicating things. Even if you want to make things simple, easier and just pleasant, no one is going to take you up on the offer. Congratu-freakin-lations! There’s not much information on the KE860, but it should have a 240x400 resolution, a few buttons on the front, the ability to open and edit documents and a large display. No word on pricing or availability yet. Read - Subscribe to CoolTechZone.com's Techblog RSS Feed  {moscomment}
