This is classy, I suppose. These earphones from Amadana are made from real Bamboo, at least in the middle. The other ends obviously have earphones that are flexible to better fit your ear structure. In fact, the earphones part of the device uses hangers to move around, which is nice. The Bamboo earphones come in two colors: black and white with a slight variation in Bamboo coloring between the two models. The accessories include a 1.0m extension cord, a carrying pouch and an ear pad. These earphones aren’t too pricey either, at least not when you consider some of the other alternatives. For 15,000 Yen, or about ~$128.38, they might be a bargain to a many of you. Assuming they sound good, the design is certainly one of its kind. Although the company is Japanese, shipping is available to Europe and the United States. Amadana’s Bamboo earphones are available immediately for purchase. There once was a time when hard drives used to be less than 16GB and required a hefty investment. It’s interesting how times have changed over the course of a decade or so. Toshiba has released a 16GB flash drive with U3 technology which will let you store not only data, but also your applications and PC settings. The company’s TransMemory line of products range from 512MB to 16GB in storage with 16GB being the Limited Edition model. The 512MB, 1GB, 2GB and 4GB models will be available in November with 16GB making its debut in late December. Pricing information was undisclosed at the time of publishing. Well, here’s a shocker. According to American Technology Research Analyst Shaw Wu, Microsoft’s upcoming Zune music player has more bark than bite. Oh no, is he serious? Why are analysts always so slow in predicting the inevitable? Obviously Microsoft isn’t going to kill the iPod with the lame design it currently boasts. For Microsoft’s sake, I hope that thing looks better in real life. The article later goes to suggest that Microsoft might have somewhat of a better luck in getting consumers to purchase Zune due to marketing investment and the brand that’s associated with Zune. Wow, I bet neither of us knew that. Basically, it’s just an analyst confirmation on Microsoft’s upcoming failure in the digital media sector. How many times have we heard about otherwise genius corporate executives or high level government officials lose critical data? Yep, millions of times. Thankfully, Verbatim has a solution for these careless people - a highly secure drive that will prevent the society’s elite from making headlines.
The Verbatim Store ‘n’ Go Corporate Secure USB drive requires you to login every time you want to access your data (which is extreme, but needed), has strong password protection that enforces complex passwords, 128-bit data encryption and hack resistant drive lockdown feature which will lock the drive after 10 failed access attempts. I get the feeling Verbatim will make headlines soon with this drive. Some executive or official will lock the drive and get kicked out with critical information still on it. But hey, at least Verbatim’s intentions are noteworthy. The Store ‘n’ Go Corporate drive is available in 1GB, 2GB and 4GB flavors for unknown price tags.
