Trusted Reviews has published a review of B&O BeoVision 7-40 40” LCD TV and from their introduction, the device appears to be a stunner. Here’s what they had to say: “If you buy a B&O TV you can be sure of two things: first, you’re a lot better off than the rest of us. Second, your hefty dollop of cash is getting you way more than just a TV. For B&O TVs tend to be more works of art and labours of love than humble goggleboxes - and the company’s new BeoVision 7-40 40in LCD TV is no different. With knobs on. In fact, look under either ‘sumptuous’ or ‘opulent’ in your dictionary and we wouldn’t be surprised if you find a picture of the BeoVision 7-40 staring out at you. Everything about it oozes quality, from its glass-finished, high-gloss black screen frame through to its anodised aluminium outer trim – and you can feel the quality as well as see it.” While the quality is all well and good, it’s expensive at approximately $12,000. The B&O BeoVision 7-40 40” LCD TV is available immediately. - Subscribe to CoolTechZone.com's Techblog RSS Feed  {moscomment}

Toshiba’s highly anticipated Gigabeat S is making its rounds on online publications. Here’s what CNET had to say: The good: The Toshiba Gigabeat S makes its mark as a supercompact 30GB or 60GB portable video player. It supports many music, video, and photo file types, including subscription services, and it has a bevy of features, such as an FM tuner and support for digital camera transfers. Best of all, the device is completely intuitive, thanks in part to an improved Portable Media Center operating system, and it boasts excellent sound performance. The bad: Unlike many portable video players, the Toshiba Gigabeat S does not record audio or video. There is no voice or FM recording, and the two-cable AC adapter is cumbersome. Also, the Gigabeat S is an MTP device and requires Windows XP. Finally, rated battery life for video is weaker than Toshiba had originally suggested. The bottom line: Many prospective MP3/PVP buyers have been waiting patiently for this compact, easy-to-use, one-stop shop for media files--looks like the Toshiba Gigabeat S was worth the wait. Considering its CNET’s Editor’s Choice product and the review is seriously positive, it appears to be the iPod Killer that every player in the market hopes to be. Good job Toshiba! - Subscribe to CoolTechZone.com's Techblog RSS Feed  {moscomment}
