If you thought accessories for Apple’s iPod were getting out of control, wait till Zune hits store shelves. Microsoft is working with a number of partners to develop exclusive accessories for its music player; Belkin is one of the first few to launch a series of new products even though Zune has yet to show up.

Belkin has a slew of accessories for Zune that quite frankly look exactly like their iPod counterparts. I know I shouldn’t be surprised about this. Not to mention, all of these add-ons appear to be copied from a few other companies - again, I’m not surprised at all. After all, creativity is all but dead with a lot of CE companies.

The cheapest accessory is available for as low as $14.99, while the ultra expensive costs $79.99. Belkin plans to ship them around Mid-November right around the time Zune hits store shelves.

Sony is all over the creativity map today. This time, the company is offering a special edition James Bond 007 1GB Micro Vault flash drive for you to “obtain top secret documents in seconds….”

The features include:

- 1GB storage capacity
- New retractable USB connector Sleek
- Convenient one piece chrome detailed design
- Plugs directly into USB 2.0 and 1.1 ports
- Pre-loaded with Virtual Expander to virtually store 3 times as much data
- Compatible with Windows 98, 2000, ME, XP and MAC OS 9 and higher

The James Bond 007 Micro Vault flash drive is available immediately from Sony for $54.99. Although it’s comparatively expensive than other 1GB models, I think Sony’s brand and a special edition James Bond drive should justify the little difference.

Not too long ago, Apple had released a special edition iPod (PRODUCT) Red in 4GB flavor. The idea behind the special edition iPod is to donate $10 from every sale to charity. It’s a great product from a great company for a great cause.

However, the special edition iPod was only available in 4GB, but that has now changed. Apple is now going to offer a 8GB version as well for those of you know who are looking for higher capacity.

The 8GB flavor is immediately for order from the official Apple store.

If there’s one thing that I really like about Altec Lansing is their quality of products for a ridiculously attractive price. You just can’t beat Altec Lansing’s economic offerings that are targeted at users who are looking for a considerably powerful system for a reasonable price.

With that said, the company is back with a brand new 5.1 surround sound speaker system for only $79.95. For the price, you get a powerful base, wireless remote, wall mountable speakers, dual-mode system (for movie and gaming enthusiasts), headphone jack, secondary input jack and shielded satellites.

Oh and did I mention how subtly good the VS3251 looks?

The VS3251 is available immediately for $79.95, and if you order it directly from the Altec Lansing site, you also get free shipping until November 21.

Planex has released a 1TB (512GB x 2) HDD enclosure with SATA II hard drives in RAID 0 mode for additional storage and plug-n-play capability with USB 2.0 connectivity.

The device offers up to 480Mbps of data transfer rate, all aluminum housing for efficient thermal dissipation, a cooling fan and a LED indicator on the front panel.

There’s no word on availability or pricing yet. The unit looks promising, however. I can only hope it’s available soon and for a reasonable price.
