Apple planned to ship its 2GB Shuffle soon, but there was no official word on the exact date. However, things have changed, and some of the people who have placed a pre-order for the 2GB version have started receiving their new toys in the mail. According to a tip on Engadget, the delivery date appears to be November 3.

The price is set at $79.00, making the second-generation Shuffle one of the most affordable music players in the market.

Yeah, that’s right. I called it a joker, and that’s exactly what it is. I won’t even pretend to understand the idea behind the iLamp (for goodness sakes, at least come up with a new name), but whatever it is, it isn’t pretty.

Not only do we have more than enough iPod accessories, but there are far more competent speakers and earphones that will do the job just fine. And although the iLamp is equipped with 3.5mm audio jack to universally support for music player, it’s seriously biased towards Apple’s iPod with a snuggly fit and a downright obvious name. Since I also have a SanDisk Sansa, I’m seriously offended by this.

There’s more to this than a mere lamp. Maybe I wouldn’t get too worked up (actually, I still would) if there was only one iLamp, but no, Adesso had to release an entire product line with six different lamps to show their admiration for the iPod.

Enough with all the iPod accessories and their ridiculous names that start with ‘i’. I tell you, Apple is solely responsible for me hating the alphabet ‘i’.

All six lamps are available immediately for $89. Talk about competing within your own product line. Genius!

Ouch! You know, it’s pretty exciting to finally see a 32GB flash drive, but the price tag is totally crazy. Seriously, who are they kidding? And who in their mind would pay $1499.99 for a 32GB flash drive?

Here are some of the specs and features:

• Store up to 32GB
• Rugged and lightweight design, weighs only 18 g
• High Strength Aluminum housing
• High speed USB2.0 (480mbps)
• Uses Top Grade Flash Memory, 10 year data retention
• Backwards compatible with USB1.1 ports
• Plug and Play!
• Includes USB Extension Cable
• Works with Windows and Macintosh, and Linux
• KanguruShield security utility included (Windows Only)
• Type Flash Drive
• Memory Size 32GB
• Write Speed 1 MB/s
• Size (L x W x H) 25mm x 92mm x 15mm

The performance of the drive isn’t too earth-shattering either, which I don’t mind, but geez, at least hold on to the price.

Really, there is no limit to the most insane and downright silly gadgets in the market today. Although I shouldn’t be surprised, products like these always make me sit back and just ponder. Ponder about the world of consumer electronics and their silliness.

The package contains a 1x Mi-Flower speaker, 1x dual 3.5mm jack audio cable and 1x instruction set. The speaker is wireless in that it works either with 4x AAA batteries or 3x LR44 batteries, neither of which are included in the package.

Other than that, the speaker looks quite fruity. Unless you are buying this for your children’s room to match the décor, I say skip it. Come to think of it, it really does look it’s more or less designed to be placed in a child’s bedroom rather than something that you might want to place in a living room.

It’s available immediately for $37.60 immediately.
