All the connections were color-coded, which made
the installation process simple and easy. Notice the little bumps
at the end of each connection input. They are used to perfectly
secure the connection at the back of the subwoofer. This is a
great way to prevent loose connections. This is also the first
time we have ever seen such methodology being used for speaker
sets.
This is where color-coded connections fall into
place. Match the connections with inputs and your installation
is done. You can set subwoofer level by using the subwoofer level
knob on the back. Controlling the levels of the subwoofer is a
definite way to set the audio levels to your liking. Another impressive
feature about the 251 speaker set is that you can set the speakers
to 2.1, 4.1 or 5.1 audio channels. So, even if you don't have
a surround sound card or would prefer to use stereo instead of
surround sound, you have the choice available to you.
To measure the true potential of these speakers
we used many audio samples at various levels. UT2003, Quake III,
Battlefield 1942 were used to measure the audio performance in
gaming environments. We also used Classical, Country, and Hard
Rock to test the ability of these speakers in music. Above examples
just provides you with an idea of our testing suite with these
speakers. We also used other audio samples at different bit rates
to fully test the performance. 5.1 Surround Sound testing was
done using a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro sound
card.
