Zalman has dedicated their efforts to producing silent PC products and have won industry wide awards for their excellence. We have also reviewed Zalman's products and have been very impressed by the performance. Zalman's main goal is to produce products that are silent as well as functional. After the CES, Zalman released various products, all targeted towards the enthusiast crowd and for those who prefer quietness around their PC.

Today we have the Zalman ZM400B-APS 400W Silent PSU. As the name implies, this is a newly released power supply unit that is released by Zalman after the CES. The power supply claims good performance with silence as one of the main features. We will be closely analyzing the performance as well as the noise factors of this unit.

In the package, there are 4 x screws, 1 x power cord for AC adapter source, 4 x cable ties, 1 x multi-connector, and 1 x user's manual. The black power cord is a high quality cable from Zalman. Zalman does say that the power cord is not included in some counties, which makes sense due to the differences in voltage. The manual, as always, is easy to understand and follow. The multi-connector can be used to power an extra fan off of the PSU. The package contains everything we expect with a PSU.
