Here’s a closer look at one of the sinks.
Notice the great finishing and groves on this sink. So far these
sinks have impressed us.
Closer look on the back of this sink. TweakMonster
did a great job with the chrome finishing.
Installation:
There is a lot of patience required with the installation
process if you want to do it the right way. Below are the steps:
1. Take out the memory stick out
of the PC. 2. Clean the memory modules on the stick itself
with alcohol and cotton swabs. 3. Dry the modules completely with 100% cotton
cloth before attempting to install the heatsinks. 4. Apply some sort of thermal compound such as
Arctic Silver III. 5. Put the sinks on the RAM and give it a firm
push to make sure that they won’t fall off. 6. Put the memory stick somewhere safe, as the
sinks will require 8-12 hours before they are completely dried
off and ready to go. 7. After making sure that sinks are completely
dried off and ready to go install the memory back in your PC.
As stated earlier, it certainly requires patience
to install these sinks. You will have to go through quite a lot
of steps to make sure that everything is perfect. There are some
things that we would like to mention about TweakMonster’s
RAMsinks. First of all, these sinks don't come with any thermal
compound, which makes the user have to buy a thermal compound.
This is definitely a negative point considering that this is not
a right away installation process unless you already have a thermal
compound. These sinks require massive amount of time to dry off
so if you only have 1 memory stick then you might have to find
the right time to install these sinks. If you do make a mess with
the compound then you will have to take some alcohol and clean
the modules on the memory before you attempt to reinstall these
sinks. The installation process is fairly simple and does not
require an installation guide but if you are one of those people
who only go by what guides say then you can find the installation
guide on TweakMonster’s website by clicking here.
