We will be testing out these sinks on Crucial PC3200
memory. Here’s what we did. We first measured the temperatures
on our memory without the heatsinks and after that we measured
the temperatures with the RAMsinks on. It is quite simple. We
used a thermometer to measure the temperatures since there are
no reliable temperature checkers for system memory. Everything
was set to default on the memory.
Above are the specs on the memory provided by
Crucial.
We put the thermometer on the modules on 6 different
places on the memory and three out of six places are shown above.
You can only see the 3 places where we held the thermometer and
we held the thermometer in the same place on the other side of
the memory. The picture above is not the memory we used in our
testing
